New member’s general information

WELCOME NEW MEMBER

General meetings are held on the 3^rd Thursday of each month at the Commercial Bank, lower level meeting room at 1400 Blackbridge Rd in Janesville. Meetings start at 6:30 PM for 1-1/2 hours which includes topical information and a guest speaker.  An optional social and questions and answer time will follow each meeting.  You will receive a meeting reminder about a week before the general meeting via letter or e-mail if you have access to a computer. 

A local newsletter and a magazine from the State organization, the Wisconsin Apartment Association, will start arriving which will help keep you informed of events, topical news and educational opportunities. If you have given us your e-mail address you will also start to receive a Friday “EEE” (Extra Edition E-mail) from the State WAA office.

State approved forms can be purchased from our Forms Chairman, Don Chapin, of Don Chapin Insurance, 2715 Kennedy Rd, Janesville. These forms are kept current with any changes in laws and have been tested through our local judicial system. Use the proper

forms at all times which will help you avoid tenant arguments and lost court cases.  Forms are available at a discount to JARPA members from Don Chapin at the above address.

We have an annual state convention and it should not be missed.  There are 2-1/2 days of educational classes but lots of fun and networking also. There’s lots of good food, door prizes and entertainment and promises to be well worth your money (all of it can be tax deductible).  It is a great time to meet other property owners from all over the state and gives you an opportunity to exchange ideas and gain new knowledge.
